5041. Implemented MBGL (MoneyBooks General Ledger) version 3.0 with 8 transaction types rather than 3 and a fix to a bug that stopped text file exporting of transactions whose row ID values exceeded the maximum (short) integer value of 32,767. EPPMS client texted to inquire about a new report update they wanted and we started work on it in the afternoon.

5052. Completed the report preparation database script in EPPMS for what the client requested. The search for a new office assistant began, as Yinka Amusat would be leaving at month’s end.

5063. Completed the EPPMS 4.39 update with MDA 2011 nominal roll format.

5085. Visited EPPMS client to install the update and gather the information required for the report from their backups.

5111. Visited EPPMS client and completed the backup data extraction work for the 2011 MDA nominal roll report.

5133. Changed the method of validating the GL transaction types in MBGL from being hard-coded to table-based via foreign keys.

5155. Visited EPPMS client to look into issues raised on the comparative payroll summary. Discovered that one of the issues was caused by just the spelling of a variable name (salary instead of @salary).

5214. Visited a Printwiser client in the morning to solve the puzzles presented by their calls yesterday. Client had reported that their entries for recent years simply “vanished,” but it turned out they were unknowingly logged into the wrong database.

5225. Worked on redesigning the MDA nominal report, noticing a bug in the present implementation, everyone getting the same promotion date within the same period. In the new design, the report will not terminate in 2011 but whatever year selected by the user.

5236. Completed the database side of the revised MDA nominal report in EPPMS 4.391 and started on the client side.

5240. Completed the EPPMS work in the evening including update installers and drafted email to send to the client for downloading and installation but later realized we need to go there to extract necessary data from 2012 to 2015 backups, just like was done for 2004 to 2011.

5251. EPPMS client called in the morning requesting for a meeting with his bosses regarding required EPPMS training for new people. Visited client later in the day for discussions, and dropped off the latest update files for installation.

5262. Worked mainly on EPPMS today, writing the visit report and then reviewing the course write-ups and drafting a letter to the client.
